Orphans are society’s lost children–homeless and without parents, they are often a group without hope. In the DPRK there are a reported reported 3,400 orphans (UN CAP Appeal 2004). These children have lost their parents and family due to the devastating effects of drought, famine and typhoons, bringing with them malnutrition and finally disease. These vulnerable children face a disastrous future without our immediate intervention. GAiN is able to support these needy children via shipments of humanitarian aid, demonstrating Christ’s love to both the children themselves and their caregivers who have little in the way of resources.
