Closer Proximity Helps Reduce Costs
History
Piet and Pita Buitendijk have lived in Uganda for 10 years. Their hearts were stirred by the hopeless circumstances these children face. In 2001 they built a house for children in need called Noah’s Ark Children’s Center located near Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. Here, nurses and social workers care for the children. Almost all the children are sick and undernourished when they are taken in. The wounds in these little souls are very deep. Their trust of others has been broken during their young, formative years. But finally, they are receiving proper nourishment and care.
