Healing Process
Cris Uy, a volunteer with the relief efforts in the Philippines, just returned from Tacloban and Ormoc and this is what he writes...
"It wil take time before the wounds typhoon Yolanda (also known as Haiyan) created to completely heal. But, what the world is doing to our people in Eastern Visayas will surely help in the process of healing. Witnessing first-hand how the world reacted to show their love and care for our people encouraged me a lot. On our part, with the leadershiop of GAiN Philippines and their partners, we are working together to help speed up the healing of Eastern Visayas. Relief distributions, medical mission, trauma counseling are bieng done in the field. Partners are mobiling people to help and give financially to our efforts. On this side, we are working on a plan for long-term rehabilitation."
